°Õ³ó±ðÌý, hosted by the Netherlands Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (NVBMB), will be held 4–8 July 2026 in Maastricht, the Netherlands. Registration and abstract submission are now open for this milestone edition of the Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ Congress.
In addition to the Congress offering registration fee reductions for early registration and for all younger scientists, the following Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ support schemes are available for members of Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ Constituent Societies:
Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ Young Scientists’ Forum
The Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ Young Scientists’ Forum (YSF) is a special event for about 100 selected PhD students and postdocs, held just before the Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ Congress. Participants present their own research work, take part in career skills sessions, and can hear and meet keynote lecturers. But did you know that YSF participants also go on to experience the ensuing Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ Congress? Participation of the selected YSF applicants at both the YSF and Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ Congress is supported by YSF grants.

Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ Congress bursaries
Early-career researchers presenting their work at the 50th Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ Congress may be eligible to apply for a Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ bursary to support participation.
Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ bursaries aim to help PhD students and postdocs (within 5 years of receiving their PhD) from outside the host country participate in a Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ Congress when submitting an abstract to the event as first author. For the Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ Congress 2026, Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ bursaries will cover the ‘Young scientist’ early registration fee, and make a €450 contribution towards travel/accommodation.

Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ Congress Mathias Sprinzl scheme
The Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ Congress Mathias Sprinzl scheme aims to encourage active participation in the Congress of scientists from Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ Constituent Societies in Hinari (Research4Life) countries in the Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ area (Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Moldova, Morocco, Tunisia, Ukraine) – by providing a 50% reduction in the early registration fee of selected applicants presenting their research work at the event.
The scheme is for PhD holders who are submitting an abstract to the Congress as first author and are not eligible for Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ Congress bursaries.
