Irene Díaz-Moreno elected to the EMBO Membership

Âé¶¹¶ÌÊÓÆµ congratulates Professor Irene Díaz-Moreno on her election to the EMBO Membership, recognising her outstanding contributions to the life sciences. Professor Díaz-Moreno serves on the Âé¶¹¶ÌÊÓÆµ Executive Committee and chairs the Âé¶¹¶ÌÊÓÆµ Excellence Awards and Fellowships Committee.

Applications now open for the 2026 Âé¶¹¶ÌÊÓÆµ Excellence Awards

The Âé¶¹¶ÌÊÓÆµ Excellence Awards are designed to support innovative research projects in the molecular life sciences and to help outstanding researchers establish and strengthen their independent research programmes. The scheme provides €100,000 over three years to support outstanding early-career group leaders in the molecular life sciences. Eligible researchers can apply until 15 August 2026.

Âé¶¹¶ÌÊÓÆµ is a charitable organization supporting research and education in molecular life sciences through its journals, congress, advanced courses, fellowships, awards and other initiatives – and it brings together the thousands of members of national biochemistry and molecular biology societies in Europe and neighbouring regions. Founded in 1964, it celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2024.
