Call opening for PROBio-Africa Fellowships 2026

Applications are now open for the IUBMB-Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ-FASBMB PROBio-Africa Fellowships, supporting PhD students and early-career researchers from Africa to undertake 3–6-month research visits in Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ countries. The call is open until 2 March 2026.

Cecília Arraiano appointed President of the European Academy of Microbiology

Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ congratulates Cecília Arraiano on her appointment as President of the European Academy of Microbiology. From January 2026, she will become the first woman and the first scientist from southern Europe to lead the Academy, marking an important milestone for European microbiology and for Women in Science.
